| SONGWRITING In the last few years, many doors have opened to my songwriting. My 9/11 Tribute, "Defending the Land of the Free," made it into the hands of former President George H.W. Bush. He sent his sentiments of thanks to me in a personal letter. My song, "It's Time for a Change," was used by Bill Simon during his campaign for governor of California. I have made the semi-finals in two venues (Music In the Rockies and Billboard Magazine), and the finals most recently (Sept. 2007 Houston Song of the Year). "Looking for Messiah" is scheduled to appear on Marc Werschem's album (March 2007), and a country song is in the hands of Randy Travis. Several other songs are out taking a ride, looking for their final destinations. In Praise and Worship, several songs have been used in churches, including "Eternally Yours" (available through CCLI Licensing). In addition, my contemporary version of an old hymn retitled, "Great Is Your Faithfulness," was assigned to Hope Publishing. It is available for church use at CCLI, and for CD use through Hope Publishing, Carol Stream, IL.
